Morocco’s Hamid Moudatiir Wins African Glory Championship Title

Moroccan kickboxer Hamid Moudatiir claimed the African Glory Championship belt in the K1 class after a dominant performance at Dakar’s Grand Theatre against Ivorian fighter François Mozou.
Representing Morocco alongside Morad Laroussi, Moudatiir secured the professional K1 title by the judges’ decision after five rounds of action in Dakar, Senegal.
Moudatiir controlled the fight with a disciplined kicking game, landing a series of sharp low and high kicks, while Mozou focused on closing the distance to rely on his boxing. The Moroccan fighter knocked Mozou down in both the second and third rounds, but the Ivorian showed resilience and fought on until the final bell.
With this victory, Moudatiir becomes the new belt holder in his division.
In the same event, Gasmire Diatta defeated Morad Laroussi by judges’ decision after five rounds.
Both Moroccan fighters were supervised by Ahmed Malahi and Mohamed Laroussi.
