Texas Floods: King Mohammed VI Sends Condolences to US President Trump

Rabat – King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and sympathy to US President Donald Trump over the recent deadly flooding that hit Texas’s Hill Country.
In his message, the monarch spoke of learning with deep sadness the news of the sudden floods in Texas.
“May the victims of this tragedy rest in peace,” the King said, extending his sincere condolences to Trump and to the grieving families and American people.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you, as well as with those mourning,” the monarch added.
At least 105 are reported dead while dozens are still missing after the devastating flash floods. Eighty-four deaths took place in Kerr County alone following the flash floods.
The Guadalupe River rose early Friday morning to the height of a two-story building.
Among the deceased are campers who also died in the flooding.
Camp Mystic, which is located along the river in Hunt, said in a statement that it has been in communication with local and state authorities deployed to search for missing girls.
“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from the community, first responders, and officials at every level,” CBS News quoted the camp as saying.
Ten Camp Mystic campers are still missing.
